School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Newark, New Jersey

Your typical week will be 35 hours, scheduled from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, allowing for work-life balance while shaping young lives. The assignment runs through June 25, 2027, providing stability and room to grow and develop in school nursing.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active New Jersey School Nursing RN licensure required
• Prior school-based nursing experience is essential
• Skilled in immunization protocols and student health requirements
• Must be comfortable navigating a district setting
• Reliable transportation and close proximity for commuting are necessary
• Ability to independently manage caseloads and oversee entire schools
• Willingness to complete onboarding, including TB test, physical, and fingerprinting
• LPNs are not eligible for this position

Role Responsibilities:

• Administer daily health care and routine medical interventions to students
• Maintain accurate records, including immunization documentation
• Respond swiftly to health emergencies and manage chronic conditions
• Foster a safe, nurturing environment across multiple school buildings
• Communicate seamlessly with staff, families, and other health professionals
• Support wellness initiatives across the district
