Registered Nurse School Setting - Newberry, SC

A nursing professional is needed to provide specialized care within an elementary school classroom environment. This role involves supporting exceptional children with complex medical needs while working closely with educational staff to promote a safe and nurturing learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to two specified students, including G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and management of medical equipment.
• Assist with additional medical needs of other students in the classroom as required.
• Collaborate with classroom aids and the teacher to ensure students’ health and safety throughout the school day.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team and school staff.
• Follow established protocols to manage medical emergencies or changes in student conditions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN licensure with experience in pediatric nursing, school nursing, or similar clinical environments.
• Demonstrated competency in providing G-tube management, tracheostomy care, and suctioning.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.

Position Details:

• Contract role starting ASAP through May 22, 2026.
• Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Daily schedule typically from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Location: Elementary school setting in Newberry, South Carolina.
