School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Newburgh, New York

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Prior experience in school nursing, residential, or day habilitation settings highly valued
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and case management skills
• Familiarity with medication administration and follow-up protocols
• Effective communicator, comfortable collaborating with staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to organize caseloads and adapt to varying age groups and needs

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee health management and coordinate care for assigned caseloads
• Contribute to Annual Life Plan Meetings, partnering with team members and families
• Perform medication administration follow-up, ensuring staff compliance and safe practices
• Accurately document in Med Books and uphold timely, thorough records in line with regulatory standards
• Act as a resource and liaison for the community, addressing health concerns and supporting program initiatives
• Monitor and respond to evolving health needs among participants

Available Roles & Scheduling:

• Residential Registered Nurse: Itinerant role with a flexible, 40-hour Monday–Friday schedule
• Day Habilitation Registered Nurse: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM, for a total of 36.25 hours weekly
• Both contract roles run from July 6, 2026, through June 26, 2027
