In this impactful role, you’ll make a meaningful difference in the life of a student requiring dedicated diabetes support. This part-time position runs from ASAP through June 26, 2026, offering a steady weekday schedule—Monday to Friday, 10:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., totaling 27.5 hours weekly.

Your primary focus will be providing skilled care and ongoing monitoring for a student with diabetes, ensuring their health and well-being throughout the school day. You’ll accompany the student on their daily bus route to and from a work-based program, providing supervision and nurturing confidence and independence.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active NY State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Experience working in school settings, or with pediatric, LPN/LVN or RN responsibilities preferred
  • Strong ability to provide diabetes care and manage health plans
  • Compassionate, reliable, and attentive to individualized student needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to accompany and supervise students during transportation and school-based activities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing glucose monitoring and management during school hours
  • Administering medications and overseeing diabetes treatment plans
  • Safely supervising the student on the bus and throughout their work-based program
  • Cultivating a supportive, inclusive environment
  • Documenting care and communicating updates to team members and guardians as needed
