Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Prior experience as an RN in a school or pediatric setting
- Proficient in G-tube care, medication administration, and management
- Confident in assessing and supporting students with Type 1 diabetes, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration
- Skilled collaborator who communicates effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and follow detailed care plans
- Detail-oriented and organized; strong documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, student-centered nursing care during school hours
- Implement and monitor individualized healthcare plans for students with complex medical needs
- Manage G-tube feedings and oversee diabetes care routines, including insulin and glucose level monitoring
- Serve as a resource to staff and faculty regarding student health protocols and emergency procedures
- Maintain clear, accurate health records for assigned students
- Adapt to various assignments and provide reliable coverage as required
