School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Oak Lawn, Illinois

Key Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Illinois
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Ability to assess, triage, and manage student health needs efficiently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
• Familiarity with required documentation and confidentiality protocols
• BLS/CPR certification required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions during school hours
• Develop and implement care plans for students with special healthcare needs
• Administer prescribed medications and perform routine health procedures
• Maintain accurate student health records and document all encounters thoroughly
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and healthcare providers
• Promote health education and disease prevention in the school community
