Key Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Illinois
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
- Ability to assess, triage, and manage student health needs efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Familiarity with required documentation and confidentiality protocols
- BLS/CPR certification required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care for illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions during school hours
- Develop and implement care plans for students with special healthcare needs
- Administer prescribed medications and perform routine health procedures
- Maintain accurate student health records and document all encounters thoroughly
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and healthcare providers
- Promote health education and disease prevention in the school community
