Key Qualifications:
- Current California RN license in good standing
- Previous experience providing care to pediatric populations, preferably within a school, pediatric, or community health setting
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- CPR certification (BLS) required
- Flexibility to manage diverse daily routines and respond swiftly to health-related incidents
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing services such as medication administration, first aid, and chronic condition management during school hours
- Conduct health screenings, immunization compliance, and support student healthcare plans
- Communicate effectively with parents and school personnel about student health needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
- Provide health education and resources to students and staff, promoting wellness and prevention strategies
- Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings as needed
