Registered Nurse School Setting - Oakland, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Current California RN license in good standing
• Previous experience providing care to pediatric populations, preferably within a school, pediatric, or community health setting
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• CPR certification (BLS) required
• Flexibility to manage diverse daily routines and respond swiftly to health-related incidents
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing services such as medication administration, first aid, and chronic condition management during school hours
• Conduct health screenings, immunization compliance, and support student healthcare plans
• Communicate effectively with parents and school personnel about student health needs
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
• Provide health education and resources to students and staff, promoting wellness and prevention strategies
• Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings as needed
