School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Olathe, Kansas

What we’re looking for:

• Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Prior experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric/child healthcare setting is highly valued
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Confident in providing immediate response to health issues, injuries, or emergencies
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff
• Familiarity with administering medication and creating healthcare plans for students with medical needs
• Adaptable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with ease

What you’ll do:

• Deliver routine and emergency nursing care within the school
• Administer medications and track dosages per physician instructions and parental consent
• Develop, implement and update individualized healthcare plans for students as needed
• Monitor and respond to illnesses and injuries, maintaining accurate health records
• Serve as a resource to students, families, and school personnel on health matters
• Lead or assist with health screenings, immunization compliance, and education programs
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support a safe and healthy environment
