Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN license in Kansas (required)
• Current BLS certification
• Prior school nursing experience highly valued
• For the 1:1 nurse: previous hands-on experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is essential
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized medical care to students, particularly for those with complex health needs
• Deliver direct support to classrooms, responding to health concerns and emergencies
• Administer medications, manage chronic health conditions, and maintain accurate health records
• Act as a liaison between families, teachers, and healthcare providers
• Ensure adherence to health protocols and best practices within the school setting
