Desired Qualifications:
- Active and current RN licensure for the state of Mississippi, or eligibility for reciprocal licensure.
- Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or community health nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and emergency response skills.
- Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and healthcare professionals.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventions.
- Manage student health records, document care provided, and coordinate with primary care physicians as necessary.
- Educate students, staff, and families on prevention, health practices, and chronic condition management.
- Support development and implementation of Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and 504 plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to advocate for student health needs.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal health and safety guidelines.
