School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Orland Park, Illinois

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Professional Educator’s License in Illinois with Certified School Nurse (CSN) Endorsement—this is a must-have requirement
• Current RN licensure required
• Experience conducting vision and hearing screenings, particularly in a school setting
• Strong clinical skills and confidence in updating IEPs and health plans
• Ability to collaborate with a team of RNs while serving as the district’s lead CSN
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the district’s sole Certified School Nurse, ensuring compliance with state and local health regulations
• Conduct vision and hearing screenings and report findings
• Assess student health needs and implement both routine and emergency nursing care
• Update and contribute to IEPs and individual health plans for students with medical needs
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, families, and healthcare providers
• Provide training and guidance to support staff on health protocols and best practices
