Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies and administer first aid
- Proficient in maintaining accurate health records and adhering to state and federal regulations
- Commitment to safeguarding the health and confidentiality of students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat student illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions during the school day
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special health needs
- Administer medications and monitor immunization compliance in accordance with school policies
- Conduct health screenings and participate in health education initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between students, families, faculty, and outside healthcare providers
- Document all interventions and maintain up-to-date records per legal and district requirements
