In this contract role, your expertise will touch the lives of approximately 1,000 students across both locations, ensuring their health and well-being each day.

Drawing on your recent school-based nursing background, you’ll foster a safe and supportive environment while stationed on campus. In collaboration with school staff, you’ll be the trusted resource for daily health needs, urgent care situations, and proactive wellness education. Your adaptability and professionalism will shine as you travel between two welcoming school sites, sustaining high-quality care for all students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Illinois RN license required
  • RECENT experience as a school nurse (within the past year warranted)
  • Ability to reliably commute between two campuses in Chicago (please ensure comfort with this responsibility)
  • Familiarity with health management for school-age children and young adolescents
  • Strong communication, triage, and documentation skills
  • Confidence working independently across dual locations with diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing services, including illness and injury assessment, emergency response, and ongoing care
  • Administer medications and manage chronic conditions per medical protocols
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students
  • Educate students and staff on illness prevention, hygiene, and healthy habits
  • Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to coordinate student support
  • Respond promptly and compassionately to health concerns or incidents
