Registered Nurse School Setting - Oxford, ME

Licensed Registered Nurses are needed for school-based roles during a summer ESY (Extended School Year) program from July 6th to July 30th. With three positions available—one dedicated 1:1 case and two general school nurse roles—you’ll play a vital role ensuring a safe, healthy learning space for children and staff alike.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state
• Prior experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting is preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills
• Genuine interest in working with children and adolescents
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and families
• Reliable and flexible for the assignment period

Role Details & Responsibilities:

• Provide daily health services and medication administration for students
• Deliver care for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions
• Maintain detailed health records and emergency care plans
• For 1:1 assignment: focus on tailored medical support for a single student, including personal care as needed
• For general nurse assignments: oversee the overall student population in elementary, middle, or high school
• Communicate needs, observations, and health plans to staff, students, and parents
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols
• Hours: Elementary, 9am–1pm; Middle/High, 8am–12pm; (General nurses work 5 hours/day.)
