School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Oxford, North Carolina

A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available at a school setting located about 45 minutes north of Durham, NC. This contract position involves providing dedicated nursing care for a 5th-grade female student with complex medical needs, including G-tube care, respiratory monitoring, and assistance as she is non-verbal and visually impaired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one nursing care to a 5th-grade student with significant health challenges
• Manage gastrostomy tube (G-tube) feeding and related procedures safely and effectively
• Monitor respiratory status and provide appropriate interventions as needed
• Support communication and daily health needs for a non-verbal, nearly blind student
• Collaborate with educational staff to integrate nursing care within the school day
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to school health policies

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience working in pediatric or school nursing environments preferred
• Proficiency in managing gastrostomy tubes and respiratory equipment
• Ability to work independently providing 1:1 care for students with complex medical needs
• Strong communication and observational skills to support student health and safety

Shift Details:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM
