School Registered Nurse | Pacific, Missouri

An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse interested in supporting students in an elementary school setting, located within reach of Union, MO or Fenton, MO. This contract position centers on delivering essential care to a medically fragile young learner. Your nursing expertise will make a meaningful difference for an individual student during the critical morning hours, with the flexibility to expand to a full-time para-nurse role if desired.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid RN license in the state of Missouri
• Experience in pediatric care, school nursing, or working one-on-one with medically fragile students is strongly preferred
• Open to serving as a paraprofessional in addition to providing nursing care (optional for full-time status)
• Ability to collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and parents
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the unique needs of elementary students
• Strong organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as a 1:1 nurse for a medically fragile elementary student for the first half of the school day
• Monitor, administer, and document necessary medical care and interventions
• Work closely with educational staff to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for the student
• Adjust care as directed by healthcare plans and in collaboration with family and clinical providers
• Uphold highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and professionalism throughout the school year

This assignment is scheduled to begin August 24 and continues throughout the school year, offering a deeply rewarding opportunity to provide direct support where it matters most.
