Registered Nurse School Setting - Paterson, NJ

This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Paterson, NJ, serving K-12 students within a special education district. The role is a contract assignment running through June 23, 2026, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with hours varying by campus location. The RN will work onsite and provide nursing services across multiple school sites, including Maywood and Lodi campuses, requiring travel within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive school nursing care as the District Float RN, supporting students across various campuses
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed
• Conduct health assessments and respond to medical needs throughout the school day
• Participate in occasional field trips by accompanying students on buses to ensure medical support and safety
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with school staff, students, and families
• Conduct in-person student health screenings and interviews as required

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) will not be considered
• Experience in a school nursing environment preferred, particularly with K-12 students
• Ability to travel between school locations within the district
• Strong communication skills and ability to conduct in-person health interviews
• Comfortable working autonomously across multiple sites

Schedule and Location:

• Full-time, 31.25 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• Maywood Campus: 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM
• Lodi Campus: 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM
• Itinerant position with travel between Maywood and Lodi campuses
