School Registered Nurse (RN) in Paterson, NJ

This full-time, onsite role offers 30-32 hours per week, aligning with school hours from 8:45am to 2:00pm, and runs from ASAP through June 22, 2026, with additional opportunities for the 2026-2027 school year (no ESY required). Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN, LPN, or LVN license in New Jersey
• Familiarity with the school setting and working with pediatric populations
• Skilled in asthma management and seizure care
• Proficiency in G-tube feedings, catheter use, toileting, and diapering assistance
• Prior 1:1 experience with students or children with complex medical needs is highly valued
• Ability to ride the bus with the student to and from school is required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care for a male 7th grade student throughout the school day
• Monitor and respond to asthma symptoms and manage seizure activity
• Perform G-tube feedings, manage catheters, and assist with toileting and diapering
• Accompany the student during daily bus rides, ensuring safety and medical support as needed
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and medical professionals to support the student’s well-being and educational goals
• Document care and communicate effectively regarding the student’s health status
