School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Paterson, New Jersey

Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting a medically fragile kindergarten student in a local school setting near Paterson, NJ. This is a full-time, onsite contract position, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year with the potential for an extended summer session. You'll provide dedicated 1:1 care, ensuring safety and well-being while enabling access to education.

What you'll bring:

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license valid in New Jersey
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar healthcare setting
• Proficiency in g-tube care and medication administration
• Ability to support mobility needs, including working with wheelchair-bound students
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
• Reliability and readiness to commit to the full school year, with the potential for summer extension
• Availability to ride the school bus with the student to and from school each day

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive 1:1 nursing care to a kindergarten student with complex medical needs
• Administer medications and manage g-tube feedings according to the care plan
• Utilize clinical judgment to respond effectively to student health emergencies or changes
• Oversee safe transportation, riding the bus daily to monitor and assist the student
• Document all care provided and communicate regularly with school staff and guardians
• Collaborate with educational and healthcare teams to support the student's inclusion in classroom activities
