High School Certified Registered Nurse School Setting - Pelzer, SC

Make a meaningful difference in a student’s life by providing direct nursing care in a high school setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for a skilled RN or LPN with ventilator experience who is passionate about supporting young people in an educational environment. You’ll work 1:1 with a high school student who is paralyzed yet highly engaged and cognitively strong, ensuring their health and safety during the school day and while commuting. This role is based near Pelzer, SC and offers a consistent 30-hour work week, with Wednesdays off as the student does not attend school that day.

What we’re looking for:

• Licensed RN or LPN with current credentials
• Certification as required by state and school guidelines
• Experience with ventilator-dependent individuals required
• Background in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Compassion, strong communication skills, and ability to foster trust with adolescents
• Ability and willingness to ride the school bus with the student
• Collaboration skills to work alongside educators, therapists, and family members

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering hands-on, individualized care throughout the school day
• Monitoring and managing ventilator and other medical needs
• Supporting safe bus transitions to and from school
• Communicating proactively with school staff and the student’s family
• Documenting care and following established nursing procedures
• Creating a positive, reassuring presence to help the student thrive in a school environment
