Situated near the Anderson, SC area, this assignment centers on providing direct classroom care for two students, fostering their well-being and empowering their educational experience.

Your presence in the classroom will make a difference each day, offering individualized healthcare support tailored to the unique needs of each student. One student utilizes a wheelchair, while the other is ambulatory. Expertise or confidence working with g-tubes and ventilators is highly valued, ensuring you can respond to various care needs effectively.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Knowledge or familiarity with g-tube and ventilator care is strongly valued
• Certified in CPR and able to respond to emergent medical needs
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability in a classroom environment

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small-group nursing care, administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and monitor student health conditions throughout the school day
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in alignment with school protocols
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to support student care plans
• Educate and empower students and staff about health needs and safe practices
• Uphold confidentiality and best practices in all health-related matters
