Qualifications:

• Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatrics is advantageous, but not mandatory
• Proficient assessment, organizational, and communication abilities
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to medical situations and emergencies
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in healthcare

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students throughout the school day
• Assess and manage student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments following physician directives and school protocols
• Maintain precise records and documentation for all student health interactions
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and external healthcare providers to promote overall student wellness
• Take prompt action during health-related emergencies, utilizing sound clinical judgment
