Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred, but not required
• Excellent skills in assessment, communication, and organization
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students managing illness, injury, and chronic health issues
• Assess the health status of students and determine suitable interventions
• Safely administer medications and treatments based on physician orders and school policies
• Maintain detailed and accurate student health records and necessary documentation
• Foster clear communication with parents, school personnel, and healthcare providers regarding student needs
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, utilizing established emergency care protocols
• Advocate for student wellness through health education, prevention strategies, and ongoing support
