School RN in Peterborough, NH

A school-based nursing role is available to provide 1:1 substitute nursing services for a student in a middle school setting in Peterborough, NH. This contract position offers the opportunity to support a student with specialized medical needs throughout the school year (CSY). Candidates with LPN/LVN or RN qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care to a student during specified dates.
• Monitor and manage residual and delay bolus feeding.
• Administer feedings via pump and G-tube.
• Monitor vital signs including heart rate and oxygen saturation.
• Perform oral and nasal suctioning and provide mouth wound care as necessary.
• Collaborate with school personnel to ensure the student’s health and safety during school hours.

Dates and Hours:

• February 2: 7:00–8:30 AM (additional hours up to a half day may be compensated)
• February 14, 15, 16: 7:00 AM–2:30 PM
• March 13: 11:00 AM–2:30 PM
• March 16: 7:00–8:30 AM (additional hours up to a half day may be compensated)
• March 25, 26, 27: 7:00 AM–2:30 PM
• March 30, 31: 7:00 AM–2:30 PM
• May 6, 7: 7:00 AM–2:30 PM
• May 12, 13, 14: 7:00 AM–2:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant school nursing experience.
• Competency in managing G-tube feedings and suctioning.
• Ability to monitor and respond to vital signs accurately.
• Strong communication and observational skills.
• Dependable and able to work independently in a school environment.
