School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Step into a vital role providing care and support to students as a part-time school nurse. In this contract position, you’ll work collaboratively with the district’s full-time nurse to assist in the ongoing health and well-being of a diverse student population. Your clinical expertise and compassion will be essential in fostering a safe, healthy, and nurturing school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania RN, LPN/LVN, or Certified School Nurse (CSN) license
• Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred
• Knowledgeable about health assessments, care planning, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and parents
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records
• Experience with immunization compliance and state mandates is a plus
• Flexible, reliable, and comfortable adapting to a dynamic school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the full-time nurse with student health screenings, assessments, and direct care
• Administer medications and provide first aid or emergency care as needed
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions in the school setting
• Communicate with families and faculty about health concerns, promoting wellness and prevention
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
• Assist in coordinating health-related programs and education within the school
• Respond promptly and effectively to health-related incidents
