This contract opportunity offers the unique chance to provide 1:1 care to a cognitively high-functioning student with paralysis. You’ll work closely with a determined young individual, supporting their health needs and well-being while helping them participate fully in their academic experience.

Position Details:

  • Work 30 hours per week, with Wednesdays always off as the student does not attend school on that day.
  • This 1:1 role requires you to ride the bus with the student, ensuring consistent care and a supportive presence throughout their school day.
  • The assignment is located near Piedmont, SC, providing the perfect setting for professionals who enjoy working in educational settings.
  • Both Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with experience in ventilator care are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

  • Current, active nursing license (RN or LPN) with required state credentials.
  • Certification and experience working in schools or similar pediatric settings is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable and experienced with ventilator care.
  • Ability and willingness to ride the school bus to and from school with the student.
  • Compassion, reliability, and a collaborative approach to student care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to partner with school staff and the student’s family.
