School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Piscataway, New Jersey

Working onsite, you’ll collaborate with educators and staff from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for a total of 27.5 hours each week.

Qualifications & Experience We Value:

• Active RN license, with experience in school settings preferred
• Familiarity with administering medication to children and adolescents
• Solid understanding of post-restraint evaluation protocols
• Compassionate, calm, and patient-focused approach
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to student health needs
• Comfort working independently and collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary school team

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications to students in accordance with physician orders and school policy
• Complete thorough post-restraint evaluations to ensure student safety and well-being
• Maintain detailed and confidential health records and documentation
• Respond to routine and emergency student health needs during onsite hours
• Advocate for student wellness and educate the school community on health best practices
• Serve as a resource for staff on matters related to student health and safety
