Registered Nurse School Setting - Piscataway, NJ

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic K-12 setting serving students with emotional regulation impairments. You’ll be an onsite presence, working full time (30-32 hours per week) from September 2026 through July 2027. With steady hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 2:45pm, this position offers a balanced workweek and the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Prior pediatric and/or psychiatric nursing experience (required)
• School-based nursing experience is a strong plus
• Strong clinical judgment and capability to provide medication(s) to students
• Skilled in conducting post-restraint evaluations
• Experience and comfort working with K-12 students with emotional and behavioral difficulties
• Ability to develop trusting relationships with students and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications per physician instructions
• Conduct timely post-restraint evaluations and ensure student safety
• Monitor students’ health conditions and respond swiftly to incidents
• Communicate clearly and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Document care procedures in accordance with school policies
• Support student wellness and contribute to a positive school environment
