Registered Nurse School Setting - Piscataway, NJ

Embrace an impactful role supporting student health as a School Nurse (RN) in a dynamic educational environment near Piscataway, NJ. This full-time contract opportunity spans the entire 2025-2026 school year, running from September 3rd through June 23rd. You’ll provide essential care in a Preschool, Elementary, or Middle School health room, serving as the sole nurse on-site while having access to an advisory team for support when needed. There are two openings available for dedicated professionals eager to make a difference.

Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active NJ RN license or Certified School Nurse (CSN)
• Comfortable working independently as the only nurse in a school building
• Previous school nurse experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with the Genesis charting system is highly desirable
• Adaptability to interact with students from preschool to middle school levels
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer daily and emergency healthcare to students and staff
• Maintain detailed health records and comply with all state reporting requirements
• Manage chronic conditions, medication administration, and acute illness/injury cases
• Promote student wellness and provide health education
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, and families to support student safety and well-being
