School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 3 years’ recent pediatric nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
• Prior experience in school nursing or working with children with special needs is desirable
• Ability to work independently during evening hours and respond appropriately to clinical situations
• Effective communication and strong teamwork skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care and clinical support for students in an on-site residential educational environment
• Administer medications, monitor chronic health conditions, and provide urgent care for acute needs
• Maintain detailed and confidential nursing documentation per school policy
• Communicate with families, school staff, and collaborating health professionals regarding student health needs
• Participate in evening health rounds, care planning, and occasional overnight coverage as needed
