School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Step into a meaningful role supporting student well-being as a Transportation Nurse in the area northwest of Pittsburgh, PA. You will accompany a student on their school bus rides, ensuring their comfort and safety from morning pick-up to afternoon drop-off.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid RN or LPN/LVN licensure in Pennsylvania
• Able to secure all required PA clearances
• Experience in school nursing is a plus, but not mandatory
• Compassionate, reliable, and capable of working independently
• Strong communication and observational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accompany student during daily bus transit to and from school (approximately 5–6 hours per day)
• Meet at the designated transportation office at 7am; morning shift concludes by 10am
• Return to the transportation office for the afternoon shift by 2pm; day ends by 5pm
• Provide necessary healthcare interventions, medication administration, or support as prescribed by the student’s healthcare plan during transport
• Maintain student safety and comfort, remaining attentive and responsive to changing health needs
• Document interventions and communicate effectively with school staff and families as needed
