Registered Nurse School Setting - Pittsford, NY

Two enthusiastic and compassionate RNs are needed for full-time, permanent roles, each serving either an elementary or high school campus in the Rochester, NY area. With a balanced 35-hour work week, these direct-hire positions offer the chance to foster lasting relationships while advancing student health.

In this role, you’ll be a trusted resource and advocate for students, delivering healthcare services and promoting wellness within the school community. As a key collaborator, your expertise will contribute to a safe, caring environment where learning can flourish.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Previous experience in pediatrics, schools, or community health is a plus, though not required
• Skilled in health assessments, organization, and clear communication
• Collaborative approach, able to work effectively with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care for students experiencing illness, injury, or ongoing health conditions
• Assess, triage, and intervene in student health concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per policies and physician directives
• Maintain confidential, accurate health records and documentation
• Communicate health information clearly with parents, school personnel, and medical professionals
• Respond to on-campus emergencies and implement necessary emergency care protocols
• Lead health education and preventive care programs to support a healthy school climate
