This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses (RN) who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners. Work in the elementary health room, ensuring compassionate, attentive care for students grades K-5 throughout the school year.

This assignment runs from September 3, 2026, through June 23, 2026, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32.5 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey RN or Certified School Nurse (CSN) license required
  • Previous experience as a school nurse strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Genesis student health charting is highly desirable
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a school health room
  • Excellent communication and organization skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Current CPR/BLS certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily health care and triage for elementary school students
  • Administer medications and manage care for students with chronic health conditions
  • Maintain accurate health records using the Genesis system
  • Collaborate with school staff to support IEPs, 504 plans, and other student needs
  • Promote a safe, healthy learning environment through health education and guidance
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, following district protocols
