Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Maine (or compact state eligibility)
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatrics strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of medication administration and care for students with intellectual disabilities/complex health needs
  • Current CPR certification
  • Compassionate, patient-centered mindset
  • Ability to ride school buses and assist students in transit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care for the assigned student
  • Administer medications and manage medical treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor health status and respond to emergencies
  • Maintain clear communication with school staff and families
  • Accompany and assist the student during bus rides to and from school
