A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available for a travel assignment in Pontiac, MI, supporting a school district for the 2026-2027 school year (dates tentative). This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a school setting, working approximately 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to medically fragile students with complex needs
- Manage student health plans including tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube feeding, seizure management, lifting, and toileting assistance
- Provide 1:1 nursing support or manage a small caseload as assigned
- Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to ensure student safety and health
- Maintain accurate documentation on student health status and interventions
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license in Michigan is required
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
- Ability to handle medically fragile student needs including trach, g-tube, seizure care, lifting, and toileting
- Must be able to work full-time hours
- Candidates must demonstrate licensure and provide proof for verification
