Based near Portland, ME, you’ll work closely with students, educators, and families to ensure student health and well-being during summer school sessions.

This full-time role offers consistent hours: Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, and Fridays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, for a total of 28 hours weekly throughout the summer months.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine (or eligibility for Maine licensure)
  • Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric/community nursing highly preferred
  • Knowledge of chronic disease management, first aid, and emergency care protocols
  • Effective communicator with students, faculty, and parents
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality
  • CPR/BLS certification required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and manage chronic health conditions for students
  • Identify and respond to student health emergencies and injuries
  • Document care and maintain student health records in compliance with school policies
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans
  • Educate students and staff on health and wellness practices relevant to the school environment
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
