1:1 Certified School Registered Nurse | Pottstown, Pennsylvania

This contract role is designed for a certified school nurse who thrives in a classroom, providing skilled 1:1 care for a student with medical needs including suctioning and tube feeding. You'll add vital support in the classroom during the school day—no bus rides required—as there is a separate nurse assigned for transportation. Should the student be absent, your nursing expertise will be a valuable asset elsewhere in the school building, ensuring continued support for staff and students.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license and School Nurse Certification (required)
• Experience with suctioning and tube feeding procedures—confident, calm, and technically sound
• Demonstrated success in a 1:1 nursing capacity, especially in a school or pediatric setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other clinical staff
• Flexibility to adapt to classroom routines or reassignments within the school building

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 medical care for a student throughout the school day, focusing on suctioning and tube feeding
• Promote health, safety, and inclusion in the classroom environment
• Serve as additional nursing support in the classroom, collaborating with classroom staff and assisting with any health-related issues
• If the assigned student is absent, provide nursing coverage for the broader school population as needed
• Maintain thorough records and clear communication with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
