A certified Registered Nurse with school nursing experience is needed to provide 1:1 support for a student in a school setting in Pottstown, PA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly in the classroom, supporting a student with suctioning and tube feeding needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing one-on-one nursing care to support a student with medical needs
- Assisting with suctioning and tube feeding procedures safely and effectively
- Collaborating with the classroom teacher and other staff to support the student’s health and learning needs
- Covering the school building in the absence of the other school nurse
- Supporting the health needs of the student during the school day without requiring bus transportation
Qualifications and experience:
- Current RN license with certification appropriate for school nursing
- Experience working in school nursing or pediatric nursing environments
- Competency in providing suctioning and managing tube feeding care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a school team
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
