Two contract opportunities are available for school-based Registered Nurses to join programs dedicated to providing exceptional care and support in New York's Hudson Valley region, including New Windsor, Wappingers Falls, and Hyde Park. These roles offer meaningful work within residential and day habilitation environments from July 6, 2026, through June 26, 2027.
Desired Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Experience in school or legal nursing preferred
- Ability to manage care for diverse age groups
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Collaborative approach working with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and health protocols
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide nursing oversight and comprehensive care within residential and day habilitation programs
- Manage caseloads across pediatric and adult populations
- Participate in Annual Life Plan meetings, supporting staff and families
- Oversee and follow up on medication administration practices
- Ensure timely and accurate Med Book documentation
- Monitor and respond to health needs, implementing required nursing interventions
- Work closely with educators and care teams to uphold quality and compliance standards
Role Details
- Residential Registered Nurse: Itinerant, Monday–Friday, flexible 40-hour week, day shift
- Day Habilitation Registered Nurse: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM, 36.25 hours per week
