School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Powell, Ohio

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a student as a 1:1 school nurse. This unique position empowers you to make a meaningful impact, working directly with a student to ensure their health and well-being throughout the school day. Starting in October, you’ll provide individualized nursing care 1-2 days per week from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM, transitioning in January to a consistent weekday schedule at the same hours.

Essential Qualifications:

• Unrestricted RN license and eligibility to practice as a school nurse
• Previous experience in a school, pediatrics, or similar setting is highly valued
• Ability to assess, monitor, and document medical needs with compassion and discretion
• Comfortable collaborating with teachers, aides, and families for holistic student care
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Adaptable, dependable, and committed to supporting students with special medical needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care to a student during school hours
• Monitor and respond to ongoing medical needs, administering interventions as necessary
• Gather relevant medical information and maintain thorough records in compliance with school protocols
• Communicate clearly with school staff and family regarding the student’s health and care plan
• Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions to support the student’s evolving needs and the possibility of expanding service hours
