School Registered Nurse (RN) in Providence, RI

You'll play a vital role in student health, sometimes beginning and ending the day with a bus ride alongside your assigned student to ensure seamless care and supervision.

What You’ll Bring:

• Valid RN license, in good standing.
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred.
• Comfort delivering 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
• Flexible approach to move between assigned students and general nursing duties as needed.
• Excellent communication abilities with students, staff, and families.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to students requiring medical support during the school day and, when needed, on bus rides.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and IEP/504 plans.
• Monitor students for changes in health and update records accordingly.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student well-being.
• Respond to acute health needs and create comfortable, safe environments for all students.
• Serve as a floating nurse as needed, supporting various school health needs.
