School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Providence, Rhode Island

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting student health and safety as a Registered Nurse in a school setting near Providence, RI. This unique opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN passionate about individualized care, as you’ll work one-on-one with a student, ensuring their medical needs are met both on campus and during off-site activities.

This position is scheduled for two days each week—Wednesdays and Fridays—from 7:30am to 2:00pm. You’ll play a key role in supporting your student as they engage with classmates in the community or participate in work experiences. In addition, your expertise in seizure care will ensure the highest level of preparedness in the event of an emergency.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
• Skilled in emergency response, especially seizure intervention
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care tailored to the student’s needs during school hours
• Monitor and support the student both on-site and during community outings or work visits
• Remain vigilant and ready to deliver seizure care as needed
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records and daily logs
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
