School Nurse (RN/LPN)- Part-Time

School Nurse (RN/LPN) - 1:1 Student Support 

A supportive school-based team is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time opportunity providing one-on-one support to a student in an educational setting. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by ensuring the student's health and safety while supporting participation in school and community-based activities. The district is actively reviewing applications and interviewing qualified candidates for immediate consideration. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing support to a student throughout the school day and during community-based activities.
• Monitor the student's health status and respond appropriately to medical needs.
• Administer emergency seizure medication in accordance with physician orders and district protocols.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and families to support student success.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment while accompanying the student in community settings.
• Follow all state nursing regulations and school health policies.

Experience:

• Previous school nursing experience preferred.
• Experience working with students with seizure disorders strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of seizure monitoring and emergency response procedures.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Education & Licensure:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Ability to administer seizure rescue medications as required.

Employment Type: Part-Time, Contract 

Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, approximately 10 hours per week 

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $30-$50 per hour, based on experience, credentials, and qualifications.
