School Registered Nurse | Quincy, Massachusetts

Step into a meaningful contract role supporting a preschool student as their dedicated 1:1 nurse in a full-time position. You'll be instrumental in providing personalized care, ensuring safety, and supporting learning and social experiences while working a consistent 35 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, making this a great opportunity for those who value balance and routine.

In this fulfilling position, you'll ride the bus to and from school each day with the student, offering hands-on support and reassurance. You'll utilize your expertise in tracheostomy care, airway management, and suctioning, overseeing oxygen therapy, and managing enteral feedings and medication administration via feeding tube. Your presence and clinical skill will make a real difference in the daily life of this young student, empowering her to participate fully in the school community.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid RN licensure in Massachusetts
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or 1:1 nursing setting preferred
• Skilled in tracheostomy care, airway management, and suctioning
• Proficient with administration of oxygen therapy and monitoring
• Experience with enteral feeding tubes, including feeding and medication administration
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and communicate effectively with families and school staff
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Reliable transportation and willingness to ride the bus as part of the student’s care

Core responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 care and vigilant supervision throughout the school day and during transportation
• Perform required medical procedures and assessments
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family to support holistic student care
• Maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality at all times
