Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, with a valid state certification.
• Prior experience with suctioning and tube feeding procedures.
• Comfortable providing direct care to children or adolescents in a school or similar setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff and families.
• Adaptable, with the readiness to assist in different areas of the school as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing care for a student, including suctioning, tube feeding, and other daily medical needs during class time.
• Work alongside another nurse, who handles bus transportation, so no bus duty is required.
• Serve as an additional layer of support in the classroom to foster an inclusive and safe learning environment.
• If the assigned student is absent, pivot to supporting the broader school community, offering on-demand nursing expertise throughout the building.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate student health information as necessary for continuity of care.
