A dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide essential support for a K-12 student requiring specialized care during the school year. This contract position involves working closely with a student who uses a wheelchair and has a seizure plan, ensuring their health and safety in a school setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing skilled nursing care on-site every Monday and Wednesday.
  • Managing the student's medical needs with vigilance and professionalism.
  • Riding the bus with the student to and from a private school in the Paramus area, ensuring safety and comfort throughout transportation.
  • Monitoring and implementing the seizure plan effectively when needed.
  • Collaborating with school staff and family to support the student’s overall well-being.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
  • Ability to manage seizure protocols and provide care for a student with mobility challenges.
  • Dependable and compassionate approach to supporting student health.
  • Willingness to accompany the student on the bus for daily transportation.

Location:

  • Position is based in Ridgewood, NJ, with responsibilities involving travel to a private school in Paramus, NJ.
