School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Rochester, New York

This full-time contract position follows the school calendar, offering a consistent schedule from 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM, August 24, 2026, through June 24, 2027. Two openings are available: one providing general elementary student care, and another offering individualized support for a kindergarten student with significant medical needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active New York RN license required
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential desired
• Experience in pediatric care, school health, or diabetes management highly beneficial
• Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Comfort working as part of an educational team and building relationships with students and their families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver holistic nursing care to students, responding to minor injuries or illnesses as needed
• Administer medications and maintain thorough, accurate health records in compliance with school and state regulations
• For the 1:1 kindergarten role: provide careful, attentive support for a young child with complex health needs, including diabetes and food allergy management
• Liaise with teachers, staff, healthcare providers, and parents to ensure comprehensive student wellness
• Foster a culture of health education and advocacy within the school community
