School Registered Nurse (RN) in Rochester, NY

This full-time contract runs from August 24, 2026, through June 24, 2027, on a consistent weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:30 PM. Key Qualifications:

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• Experience as a school nurse or in pediatric settings is a plus, but not mandatory
• Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with students, families, and staff
• Reliable organizational abilities and strong clinical assessment skills
• Ability to provide responsive, compassionate care to students in a diverse school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide daily health services and general nursing care to the middle school population
• Assess and address student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries as they arise
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments in alignment with protocols and physician directions
• Maintain meticulous and confidential health records for each student
• Partner with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to optimize student well-being
• Respond swiftly to medical emergencies, ensuring proper care and follow-up
