Registered Nurse School Setting - Rockford, MI

Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a student as a 1:1 nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. This role provides crucial care for a student who is both ventilator and tracheostomy dependent. The position requires you to accompany the student to and from school by bus, beginning at their home at 8am and returning around 4pm each day.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid RN or LPN license
• Strong preference for candidates with pediatric experience, especially in managing ventilator and tracheostomy care
• Ability to demonstrate confidence in emergency and critical care scenarios
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach and excellent communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the student

What You'll Do:

• Provide dedicated, 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day, including bus transportation
• Monitor and respond to the student’s daily health needs, including medical interventions as needed for vent and trach care
• Coordinate closely with school teams and the student’s family to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all health-related activities
• Be adaptable to the student’s schedule, including possible days when the student is not attending school
