School Registered Nurse (RN) in Romeoville, IL

You’ll collaborate with a welcoming administrative and office team, oversee the health office, and support a diverse student community—including those with special and multi-needs programs—through the end of the school year, wrapping up late May 2027.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a current Professional Educator License (PEL) and Certified School Nurse (CSN) endorsement (not an RN-only role)
• Experience managing a school health office and supporting students’ health and personal care needs
• Strong skills in technology, including electronic health record-keeping and digital management of IEPs and 504 Plans
• Initiative, independence, and flexibility to respond to a fast-paced school setting
• Bilingual Spanish skills and prior CSN experience are highly valued
• Excellent attendance and reliability, with a commitment to the full school-year calendar

Core Responsibilities:

• Independently manage the school health office and serve as a vital resource for students and staff
• Complete comprehensive medical reviews and maintain accurate electronic records
• Collaborate with educators and specialists in developing and implementing student health plans as part of IEP and 504 processes
• Provide direct care and occasional personal care assistance to students as needed
• Participate in a strong culture of teamwork and mutual support
