Registered Nurse School Setting - Round Lake, IL

Looking for an opportunity to make an impact in the lives of students and gain valuable school nursing experience? This contract role offers the chance for a dedicated RN or LPN to support multiple buildings within an active district. You’ll float between several schools, providing essential health services and care to students ranging from elementary to junior high.

What You’ll Need:

• Active RN or LPN licensure, certified in Illinois
• Experience with diabetic care, G-tube feeding, catheter care, and medication administration
• Background in school nursing or pediatric care is highly desirable
• Adaptability and confidence working with caseloads between 400 – 800 students
• Ability to work fully on-site in a health office/float nurse capacity
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Role Overview:

• Provide nursing care to students in a float capacity across 28 schools
• Respond to health needs, emergencies, and routine care in building-based health offices
• Perform diabetic monitoring, medication administration, G-tube feeding, and catheter care
• Maintain accurate health records and follow district protocols
• Collaborate with other school healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Support a safe, healthy school environment for students and staff

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, daytime hours
• Elementary School: 8:15am – 3:15pm
• Junior High: 7:30am – 2:30pm
• Temporary contract, approximately 3 months from start date
• Immediate start available
